Santa Barbara Project
This project has progressed in a very timely fashion, due to the management skills of the team at Brimley Construction. A couple of weeks ago we walked the house with our client to catch any last-minute things that needed to be corrected. Amidst a flurry of activity by almost every subcontractor on the project, things are looking great and our client is looking forward to moving in soon! Our design spin on this home was to embrace a black and white color scheme in all of the hard surfaces in the home (tile, countertops, fireplace surrounds, flooring) while at the same time maintaining the architectural integrity of the Santa Barbara style.
Our Radius Contemporary project withPHX Arch and Salcito Custom Homes is on track to go out to subcontractors for bid by mid-September. We have been doing marathon meetings with our clients this month to finalize material selections, such as tile, detailed cabinet layouts, flooring selection and layout, and working with the rest of the design team to finalize exterior finishes and landscape design. Being a part of a design team with highly skilled and devoted professionals is a rewarding part of the process of interior design. When we get our heads together, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish!
A brand new project has us excited! We recently began work on the design of a new home which will be built on a steep hillside lot in DC Ranch. Our client, who is from MN, is thrilled to have views of the 12th and 13th greens, and gazes from his patio straight down the fairway toward a perfect approach to the runway at Scottsdale airport. Could there be anything better for a golfer, who is also a pilot? The design of this home is contemporary, with a nod to Frank Lloyd Wright.
More on this project in the months to come…
